Took me 45 minutes to figure out why my car speakers were buzzing... it was a loose penny in the cup holder

Was there any other loose change rattling around in there that you might have missed before the penny? Only asking because I had something similar happen with a nickel that would only buzz at certain speeds on the highway. Might save you another headache down the road if you gave the whole cupholder area a good look over.

Man that is the most frustrating kind of thing to track down. You go crazy checking wires and connections, and it ends up being something so simple you feel kind of dumb. At least the fix was free though, right?

Tbh @terryh20 you're close but the fix wasn't totally free. I had to buy a can of compressed air for $8 to blow out the debris that was causing the loose connection. Still way cheaper than calling a pro though. It's that moment when you've already checked everything three times and it's just a dust bunny or a corroded terminal that gets you every time.
