Why is everyone sleeping on The Black Keys live versions

I was sitting at a stoplight off I-35 last Tuesday and 'Little Black Submarines' came on, the live cut from El Camino, and I caught myself air drumming so hard my steering wheel got wet. People keep telling me the studio version is the definitive one, but the energy on that live recording blows the album take out of the water, it's like comparing a photo to being in the room. Anyone else got a live track they refuse to swap out for the original, or am I the only one who thinks studio polish kills the point of cranking it?
