Found my roommate's 'house rules' binder and it had a section on acceptable shower times

I was looking for a spatula in the kitchen last week and opened the wrong cabinet. That's when I found a three-ring binder labeled "Living Guidelines." Inside was a chart showing exactly which 20-minute window each of us could shower in, ranked by seniority. She even color coded it with highlighters. I've lived here 8 months and never knew this existed. Anyone else find a secret rulebook hiding in plain sight?

Wait, does that mean I've been showering at 2 AM and messing up the whole color-coded system this whole time? I guess my 8 months of seniority puts me at the bottom of the chart too... guess that explains why my towel was always moved when I got out.

Man oh man, this reminds me of what happened to my buddy Dave. He moved in with this guy who had a whole laminated schedule for the thermostat, like down to the half hour. Dave got home late one night and bumped it up two degrees and the roommate literally left him a printed note on his pillow the next morning with a revised schedule attached. He said the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife every time the AC clicked on. He moved out after three months and still talks about it like it was a hostage situation.
