Disagree a little bit on the tracking thing. I had a roommate who kept a running Google Sheet of who owed what down to the penny and it just made everything tense and weird. We'd have these awkward conversations about whether the $4 bag of chips was split even or not. Sometimes you gotta just let small stuff slide or you're gonna drive each other crazy. The big stuff like rent and utilities, sure, get that clear. But obsessing over every little debt can kill the vibe way faster than just eating a small loss now and then.
