Paper chore chart on the fridge worked better than our $120 shared app for 4 months straight
We argued for 6 weeks over who left dishes and the app just let us both hide the notifications, but a printed grid with initials and a red marker settled everything in 2 days, so why do we keep paying for digital tools that make dodging easier, has anyone else gone back to paper after a digital roommate fight?
The red marker part killed me, we did the exact same thing with a whiteboard and it worked in like a day after months of app nagging. Something about seeing your initials next to a skipped chore in your roommate's handwriting just hits different than a push alert you can swipe away.
