My 3 prompt story about a broken clock turned into 12 pages and a missed dinner
I sat down at my kitchen table in Boise on Sunday to write a quick flash piece about a clock that stops at 3:47, and six hours later I had a full short story and cold spaghetti because I kept asking myself what the character did next instead of sticking to the prompt, so how do you all keep a simple prompt from snowballing like that?
