My vacuum cleaner died mid-sweep yesterday and I actually felt relieved

It was a $80 bagless model from Target that I bought three years ago, the belt snapped with a loud pop at 7pm while I was trying to clean up cat litter, and instead of fixing it I just carried the whole thing out to the dumpster - has anyone else just given up on a broken appliance like that?

Felt relieved" - come on man, it's a vacuum cleaner, not a root canal. I get that it's annoying when stuff breaks, but relieved? That's a strong word for an $80 Target special that already gave you three years. You probably got your money's worth out of it anyway.

Yeah you're right, I was that guy rolling my eyes at people overreacting to broken stuff until my dishwasher died mid-cycle.
