PSA: My writing group in Austin gave me a prompt about a lost wedding ring and I froze

I was supposed to write a scene in 10 minutes but my mind went totally blank, so I just described the character's hands shaking instead. Has anyone else had a prompt just completely stump them?

Happens all the time. When a prompt locks me up, I just start describing the smallest physical detail I can think of. You did the right thing with the shaking hands. Next time, try describing the sound in the room or the texture of something they're touching. It gets the engine turning again.

Nah, describing a sound just pulls me out of the zone more lol.
