The library book drop ate my flash drive and now I outline everything on paper
I was at the downtown branch in Austin last Tuesday, returned a thriller with my flash drive still in the pocket, and the drive had 40 pages of my novel outline that I never backed up, so does anyone else swear by physical notebooks after a digital disaster like that?
Who even uses a flash drive anymore? Email yourself the file, drop it in Google Docs, or text it to your own number. I lost a term paper to a dead zip disk back in college and I never trusted a single piece of hardware again. Paper is fine but you can lose a notebook too, or spill coffee on it, or your dog eats it. Back stuff up in two places and stop trusting a plastic stick.
