My uncle who worked at IBM in the 80s told me my backup strategy was outdated
He saw me juggling three external drives and laughed. Said he had a tape drive system back in '87 that rotated offsite backups automatically. Made me realize I've been doing this the hard way for way too long. What's the simplest automated backup setup you guys use?

So your uncle was basically running a better backup system in the 80s than I am in 2024? Man, I'm still trying to remember which external drive has my tax returns.

My uncle backed up data on punch cards once. @sammoore that's still better than my system.
