Overheard a guy at the hardware store say something that changed how I do passwords
I was grabbing some conduit at Home Depot and this older man was telling his friend he uses the same password for everything because he can't remember them all. It made me think about how I was doing the same thing for my online accounts, including my business bank accounts. I went home and set up a password manager that week, now I have 30 different passwords and I don't have to remember a single one. Has anyone else found a good free one that works on mobile?

Respectfully, I see it a bit different. Password managers are fine and all but putting all your eggs in one basket is risky too. If that one master password or the app itself gets compromised you lose everything at once. Your memory is actually pretty reliable if you pick a pattern that makes sense to you like using a base word and changing it slightly per site. The old guy at the store might have been onto something simple, just not the same password for everything exactly.

Remember @price.tara that time I lost my wallet and suddenly felt way too connected to every site I ever joined.
