Paid for a password manager for 3 years, just switched to the free one

I shelled out 180 dollars total on a premium password manager subscription since 2022. Last month my bank flagged a login from another state, turns out the manager had a breach notice I ignored. The free tier of the same service covers all my devices and autofill, zero reason to pay. Anyone else drop cash on something a free option handles just fine?
