Password managers aren't as safe as everyone claims

I keep seeing people push password managers like they're bulletproof, but LastPass had that breach in 2022 that exposed encrypted vaults. If someone gets your master password, they basically have keys to everything. I'd rather use a physical notebook stored in my locked desk drawer at home for my critical logins, and rely on my memory for the rest. Has anyone else had second thoughts about trusting all your passwords to one company?

oh man, i feel you on this. that lastpass breach really shook me too, i had to change all my passwords after that. i honestly think the notebook idea is kinda smart, at least for the really important stuff like banking and email. i get why people like password managers for convenience but putting everything in one basket makes me nervous too.

the notebook idea feels like keeping cash under your mattress instead of the bank
