Pro tip: I found a weird USB drive in the parking lot at my local library last Tuesday.
I almost plugged it into my laptop to see what was on it, but remembered a story from a security podcast about 'juice jacking' and bait drives. I left it at the front desk instead. What's the best way you've found to remind yourself not to trust random hardware?

I just keep a cheap burner laptop for testing sketchy stuff.

Same, I've got an old netbook that's basically a sacrificial lamb for weird downloads.

Remember my old laptop that I used for that stuff? It finally gave up and started making a noise like a dying robot. Had to put it out of its misery with a full factory reset.
