Saw someone log into their bank on a public coffee shop wifi yesterday and wanted to scream
I was at a Starbucks in Austin yesterday working on my laptop and this guy next to me opens up his banking app. The free wifi there is wide open, no encryption at all. Anyone on the same network could have grabbed his session cookies or even password with a cheap tool. I wanted to say something but didn't want to freak him out. Has anyone else seen people doing this in public?

Ngl, I saw a guy in a Denver airport once paying his rent through a public terminal that wasn't even logged out properly from the last person. Honest to god, he just typed his password right in while someone's old session was still sitting there. Tbh, some people just don't think about how exposed they really are until something bad actually happens.

Yo @black.joel, did you ever try just closing the browser tabs yourself before typing anything sensitive?

20 bucks says that guy still isn't hacked and never will be.
