Vent: my 2FA app vanished after a phone update, locked out of my own accounts
Updated my phone last Tuesday and the authenticator app reset itself with no backup codes saved. Had to spend 3 days on support calls with my bank and email provider to prove I'm me. Anyone else back up their 2FA seeds somewhere physical, or am I the only one who learned this the hard way?
