Had a customer tell me my burritos were 'sloppy' and now I fold them different

Some guy at the food truck said I was overfilling them and making a mess, so I cut back on the rice and beans by like 20% and now they actually hold together better. Has anyone else gotten feedback that totally flipped how you do a thing?

20% exactly? That's wild. I had a similar thing happen but it was way different - a customer told me my tacos were "too perfect" and that made me rethink everything. I was measuring out each ingredient to the gram and folding them all symmetrical, but after that comment I started just eyeballing it and letting them be a little messy. Now people say they taste more like actual street tacos. Funny how one person's complaint can totally change your whole approach.

How do you even measure "too perfect" for tacos though? That's like someone telling you your laugh is too genuine. I've definitely been guilty of overthinking stuff like that too, I used to count the exact number of cilantro leaves I put on each taco thinking it made them "pro" but really it just made me look like a crazy person tweezering garnishes. Now I just grab a handful and toss it on, and somehow people say they taste way more authentic. It's funny how we convince ourselves that control is the secret when really the secret is just letting go a little.
