Just realized I've been loading the dishwasher wrong for 15 years

My wife pointed out yesterday that the water spray comes from the bottom, not the top. So for the last decade and a half I've been putting bowls and plates upside down on the top rack when they should be on the bottom. The top rack is mainly for cups and smaller stuff. She caught me because I complained about how the bowls never came out clean. Anyone else have that moment where you find out you've been doing a basic chore completely backwards?

Maybe the bowls needed a little top rack rebellion.

I mean yeah but is it REALLY that deep @abby_black? I put bowls on the top rack for YEARS and they came out fine. Maybe your dishwasher just sucks or something. People act like this is a life changing revelation but it's literally just dishes.
