My 47 cent fix for a squeaky office chair finally worked
That cheap hydraulic chair at my desk in Columbus has been squeaking like a dying mouse for six months, and WD-40 only fixed it for like two days. Yesterday I grabbed a plain rubber washer from the plumbing aisle at work, slipped it between the seat base and the gas cylinder, and it's been silent for 24 hours straight. Has anyone else found a random hardware hack that outdid the obvious solution?
