My neighbor waved at me every morning for 6 months before I said hi back
I walk my dog at 6am and this older guy was always out watering his plants, giving me a little wave. I finally stopped one day and he just said 'took you long enough, I was starting to think you were a robot.' Do other people have random daily interactions like this that suddenly become a thing?

Flip it around and think about all the stuff that guy must have seen walking his dog at 6am for six months - he probably knew your whole routine before you ever said a word.

Oh actually, 6am walks are usually pretty quick, not a lot of time to really observe someone's full routine. They'd catch you heading out maybe, or coming back, but not much in between. Think it's more likely they noticed the same handful of things over and over, not some deep dossier on your whole day.
