My neighbor's leaf blower habit finally broke me last Thursday

Around 7:15 AM last Thursday, I hear this loud roaring outside my bedroom window. It's my neighbor, Frank, for the THIRD time that week, blowing a single oak leaf around his driveway like it's a game. I counted 15 minutes of that high pitched whine just for one leaf. Does anyone else have a neighbor who treats a leaf blower like a toy instead of a tool?

Frank might be the only one on the block willing to keep up appearances. A single leaf looks minor, but you let one go and suddenly the whole street looks unkempt. Some people value a tidy lawn more than a few minutes of quiet.

You make a good point, Tara. It's not really about one leaf, it's about the message you send to your neighbors when you start letting things slide. A tidy street actually makes everyone's property value look a little better, which is something people don't always think about. Once you give up on the small stuff, it's a hard slide to stop.
