Phone autocorrect embarrassed me at the dentist office yesterday
I was scheduling my next cleaning and told the receptionist I'd take a slot after my "root canal checkup" but my phone sent the text as "rut canal checkup" to the office's main line. She laughed out loud and now the whole front desk calls me Mr. Rut. I've turned off autocorrect for medical stuff now but I'm still mortified about going back in 6 months. Anyone else get burned by a simple typo at the worst possible time?
Wait, the whole front desk calls you Mr. Rut now? That's brutal but also kinda hilarious. I'm just picturing you walking in for your cleaning in 6 months and the receptionist going "Mr. Rut, we're ready for you!" while everyone tries not to laugh. At least it's a dentist office and not somewhere you go every week, right?
