Shoutout to the guy who set up 4 self-checkout kiosks at the grocery store on Elm Street

I just spent 12 minutes waiting in line because only one of them actually worked and the other three just sat there with frozen screens. The employee who was supposed to watch them was busy restocking the chips aisle, so nobody even noticed. By the time I got to the front, the cashier had to void my entire order because the scanner couldn't read a banana barcode. Who thought putting in four broken machines was a good use of the store's floor space? Has anyone else seen this at their local market or is my store just special?

Only one actually worked" honestly sounds like a personal victory compared to my store where we have none that work and just a line of confused old guys yelling at the screens. I swear the self-checkout kiosks at my place are powered by a hamster wheel that only runs during a full moon.
