Shoutout to the one guy who actually uses his turn signal at the 4-way stop near my house

I counted 7 people blow through that intersection this morning without signaling. It's not a hard thing to do. I sit there waiting because I figure they're going straight, then they hook a left and I almost get hit. The one guy in the silver Camry flicked his blinker on and I actually said 'thank you' out loud in my empty car. Has anyone else noticed turn signals just disappearing from people's driving habits?

Just start watching where their front wheels are pointed instead of waiting for blinkers... saved me a lot of close calls at that same kind of intersection.

I get what you're saying about watching the front wheels, and it's definitely a good trick in some situations. But I've been burned by that approach a couple times where someone's wheels were pointed straight but they still ended up turning because they hesitated or changed their mind at the last second. The blinker issue is real too - people just don't use them like they used to. I think a mix of both is the safest bet, checking wheels first but still keeping an eye out for that blinker as backup.
