That 4 word critique that fixed my email drafts
My broker called me out last Tuesday after I sent a listing update to a seller. She said the whole thing read like a robot wrote it. Her exact words were "stop burying the point." I used to front-load every email with background info and updates nobody asked for. Now I put the ask or the news in the first sentence, then explain after. It felt rude at first, like I was skipping the small talk, but my response rate jumped by half. I fired off a follow-up to a buyer this morning in 3 lines and got an answer in 15 minutes. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made them cut the fluff completely?
