The parking lot line paint at Target made me rethink everything
Walked out of Target in Austin yesterday and noticed how every single line was freshly painted, bright white, perfectly straight. Meanwhile the store interior has empty shelves and sticky floors. Why do we invest so much in making the entrance look orderly when the actual experience is a mess? Has anyone else hit that weird moment where the parking lot feels more polished than the place you came for?
Why do you figure they spend money on fresh paint outside while the inside just falls apart? Is it easier to fix the way things look from the street than to actually fix the store?
