So you'd just grab Dawn from under the sink and hose it off?" That stuff strips wax like crazy... Did you ever notice how the paint felt different after a few washes? I always heard dish soap is too harsh for a car's clear coat.

People really don't think about how their quick fixes add up over time. It's like using the cheapest gas at the station just because it runs fine for a week. A few washes with dish soap and you're basically scrubbing off the protection that paint needs to stay shiny. Everything's got that hidden cost if you pay attention long enough.
