Honestly, I just realized I've cleaned over 5,000 houses since I started my business, and that number hit me way harder than I expected.
Ngl, I was just updating my records and saw the total, and it made me think, what if I'd never taken that first job for my neighbor six years ago, where would I be right now?

My buddy Dave ran a small moving company for about a decade. He told me once he figured out he had moved over 3,000 families. He said it wasn't the big number that got him, it was picturing all those front doors he'd never walk through again. He kept a list of the streets, just the names, in a notebook. He said it felt like a map of a life he didn't plan but was really glad he lived.

Ever wonder if any of those families ever think about him, the guy who carried their whole life from one door to the next? That list is like a quiet thank you note to all those little moments he was a part of.

Okay the "map of a life he didn't plan" part just wrecked me. That's such a heavy way to put it. I can't even imagine looking at a whole notebook of street names and seeing your own story like that. It's wild how a simple job turns into this whole other thing you never saw coming.
