My neighbor said she only buys groceries for the next two days, not the whole week.
We were chatting by the mailboxes yesterday and she told me she stopped doing big weekly shops because it cut down on food waste and made her feel less stressed about meal planning. It made me rethink my own habit of filling a cart every Sunday, which often leads to stuff going bad. What if you only shopped for what you need in the next 48 hours?

Isn't everything moving to on-demand now?

That sounds like a lot of extra trips to the store though. I'd be at the grocery store like four times a week, and gas isn't cheap. My Sunday trip is annoying but at least it's just one annoying chunk of time.

How do you even find the time for that many store trips? I get the idea of less waste, but my schedule is packed enough as it is. Honestly, the stress of going to the store that often sounds worse than throwing out a sad zucchini sometimes. I'm with troythompson on this, one big annoying trip is still better than several small annoying ones.
