The before and after of my morning commute since they added that bike lane on 3rd Street
I used to sit in my car for like 25 minutes just to go 2 miles downtown, you know the usual. Then last spring the city painted in a protected bike lane on 3rd Street and it changed everything. I started biking instead, and now my commute is exactly 12 minutes door to door. The craziest part is I actually look forward to it now, like I get fresh air and I'm not fuming at traffic lights. I think the city spending that $200k on the lane was way smarter than widening the road like they planned. Has anyone else seen a single change like that totally flip how you get around?

My buddy switched to e-biking and said the exact same thing about fresh air.

Totally agree with you and @betty_palmer, something about that outdoor air just hits different.

That "fresh air" part really got me, I used to think bike lanes were a waste but I get it now.
