Ditched my password manager for 3 weeks, came crawling back after a close call
I figured memorizing 4 patterns would be safer than trusting some app, but then I reused a login for my bank and got hit with a credential stuffing attempt last Tuesday. Has anyone else tested going old school and lived to regret it?
The "close call" part got me because I did the same thing a couple years back with my email, thinking I could just remember one really good password for everything important. Lasted about two weeks before I got a weird login alert from a streaming account I forgot I even had, and that was enough for me. Turns out my memory is worse than a free app, which is a low bar.
