Switched to a password manager last month after resisting for years
I finally compared using a notebook with sticky notes versus Bitwarden for keeping track of my logins. The notebook got soaked in a coffee spill last week and I lost 40 passwords. Using Bitwarden only took me 20 minutes to set up and now I actually have different passwords for every site. Has anyone else had a similar wake up call about paper storage?

Man I used to be exactly like you, thought password managers were just another thing to remember and my brain was good enough. Then I got locked out of my email because I used the same password for everything and someone guessed it from a forum breach. Spent three hours on the phone with support trying to prove I was me. Bitwarden took me like 15 minutes to get working and now I don't even think about it. The sticky note thing is wild to me in hindsight, one water spill and you're totally screwed.

Don't you worry about someone shoulder-surfing your master password though @ben206?

82% of breaches are from reused passwords @danielb43. Shoulder surfers need line of sight and focus. Your sticky note is sitting there for anyone who walks past your desk or snaps a photo from across the room. Don't get me wrong, I still use a paper backup in my wallet. But that's hidden, not taped to my monitor with every login on it.
