That awkward moment when my dad's credit union teller asked if I was 'the one who had to change their passwords every week'

Wait, is this a common thing at credit unions or something? I had a buddy who swore he'd never go back to his old bank after the teller recognized him not by name but by the "fraud alert on your debit card again, sir?" That had to sting. He said it was that specific moment where you realize you're not a person to them, just a walking security risk. Honestly, I'd rather have them remember my face for some dumb purchase than get locked out of my account every week.

Take it easy, @grant.nina. Your buddy's story is funny but I don't think it's that deep. Banks have alerts for a reason, and a teller remembering a fraud flag just means they're paying attention. It's not some personal attack on his soul. People act like a bank employee knowing your spending habits is a violation of privacy, but honestly most of them forget your name five minutes after you walk out. Getting recognized for a dumb purchase is probably worse in the long run because now you're the guy who bought three energy drinks at 2 AM.
