The moment I realized my smart speaker was always listening
Honestly it hit me last Tuesday when I was complaining to my friend about my dry scalp and 10 minutes later an ad for medicated shampoo popped up on my phone. Has anyone else had that creepy moment where you realize your devices are feeding off your private conversations?

Turned off the microphone in my settings and never turned it back on.

Funny how we all do stuff like that without even realizing it. You turn off one thing and suddenly you're in a whole other world where you control the noise. I noticed the same pattern with notifications on my phone (turns out I don't need to know when someone likes a post from 2018). It's like we're all slowly building these invisible walls around our own space, one setting at a time.
