Threw $200 at a VPN subscription I never needed
Bought a 3-year VPN plan from a big name company. Thought I was being smart. Turns out most of my online activity doesn't need it. Banking sites are already encrypted. Streaming just got slower. Cancelled after 6 months. Anyone else fall for the fear marketing?

Yeah I fell for the same thing. Spent two years of a three year plan before I realized I only use the VPN for booking flights so the price doesn't jump.

Whole life is a three year plan that takes two years to figure out you didn't need it. Bought a fancy espresso machine on a payment plan once. By the time it was paid off I realized I hate cleaning the thing and prefer instant coffee.
