TIL my grocery store loyalty card is worth more to them than I thought
Ngl, I found out from a leaked internal doc last week that my local chain in Columbus sells my shopping data to health insurers for around $4 per customer profile. They use it to guess your habits, even stuff like if you buy junk food at 2am, and I had zero idea until I saw the numbers. Has anyone else dug into what their store actually does with that barcode scan history?
