Watched a guy clone my debit card at a gas station in Phoenix

He slid a skimmer onto the pump in under 10 seconds while pretending to check his tire. Now I only pay inside or use tap to pay, anyone else ditch swiping entirely?

And that's why I started using a card with a little plastic cover that blocks the scanner. Works well enough, still tap when I can though. Phoenix gas stations are where I learned to check the whole pump before swiping.

Wait, you used to swipe without even thinking about it? I was the same way until I saw someone lose their whole paycheck that way and now I never stick my card in a reader either.
