His phone died 20 minutes in and I actually relaxed for once

Met this guy from an app at a coffee place near my apartment last month. We're 10 minutes in, still doing the whole nervous small talk thing. Then his phone just goes black and won't turn back on. He goes, 'well, guess it's just you and me now.' No glancing at the screen every 5 seconds, no checking pics, nothing. We ended up talking for over 2 hours and he even walked me to my car. Has anyone else had a date get BETTER because of a technical failure?
