Hit 15 failed first dates in a row and honestly that's a weird milestone

So I've been doing the whole dating app thing for a while now. Nothing serious, just trying to meet people. But somehow I managed to hit a streak of 15 first dates in a row that were all total disasters. Not like bad conversation bad, I mean crazy bad. One girl brought her ex to the restaurant and he sat at the bar staring at us. Another guy spent 20 minutes explaining why pineapple on pizza is a conspiracy by the government. I kept a list on my phone because at first it was funny. Then around number 10 it started to feel like a challenge. Number 15 was the worst though. She asked me to guess her age and when I said 28 she got up and walked out. She was 32 apparently. Now I'm superstitious about even numbers and I'm scared to go on date 16. Has anyone else hit a weird milestone like this on the app circuit?

Cracking up at the government pineapple conspiracy guy, that's almost impressive honestly. My personal weird milestone was hitting date number 7 where I had to explain to three different people that yes I do eat carbs and no I don't think my sourdough starter is a pet. At this point I'm convinced the app algorithm just pairs you with someone who will give you the best story for your friends later.

Is it just me or does it sound like you're kind of enjoying the weird dates though? I feel like the predictable ones who follow all the "rules" are way more boring than the pineapple guy.
