I finally looked up the stats on how many first dates end in a second date

Found out from a 2023 survey that only 38% of first dates lead to a second one, which actually made me feel a lot better about that time my date left after 20 minutes to go feed her cat.

Tbh, it's like people are getting more creative with excuses in general. Saw a post the other day where someone said their computer crashed during an online test because their neighbors decided to grill right next to their wifi router. Honestly, the bar for believable excuses has gone up way higher than it used to be. Makes you wonder if we're all just getting better at coming up with wild stories or if life really is that chaotic now.
