I finally tried that 'just be yourself' advice everyone gives and it blew up
My buddy Mark kept telling me to stop overthinking dates and just be my normal awkward self, so I tried it last Friday at this coffee shop in Arlington. I ended up accidentally telling her my whole theory about why self-checkout machines hate left-handed people, and she just stared at me for like 10 seconds. Has anyone else had that piece of advice totally backfire or am I just extra weird?

Hold on - self checkout machines aren't biased against lefties, they're just programmed for right-handed people by lazy software developers. That's not the same thing as actual hate, man.
