My date in Chicago last month brought his mom. Without telling me.

We met at a pizza place on Clark Street. He said it was just us. I got there and his mom was already at the table. She ordered for him. Asked me about my job, my family, my plans for kids. All in the first ten minutes. He just sat there and ate his garlic knots. She even tried to pay the whole $78 bill. I made an excuse about a pet emergency and left. Has anyone else had a parent show up like that? What did you do?

Clark Street pizza is pretty good though. Honestly, the mom paying the $78 is a win. He showed you who he was right away, saved you months of weird dinners.
