My date in Phoenix started with a flat tire and ended with a food allergy

I met this guy named Derek at a coffee shop and we planned a nice dinner downtown. He picked me up, but his car got a flat tire on the 7th Street bridge. We changed it together, got all sweaty, and were an hour late. Then at the restaurant, he forgot to tell the server about his shellfish allergy and had to use his EpiPen after one bite of my shrimp appetizer. Has anyone else had a date where everything just fell apart one thing after another?

Oh wow, that is a wild chain of events! Changing a tire together is actually a pretty good teamwork test, even if it's a messy one. But the EpiPen part is seriously scary. Is Derek doing okay now? And more importantly, are you two planning a very low-key, allergy-safe second date, or did that night feel like a sign to call it?

Planning a movie night in, maybe just order pizza?

It's funny how the best laid plans for a chill night always seem to fall apart. Real life has a way of making its own plans for you.
