My date's car broke down in a grocery store parking lot and we were stuck there for three hours

We had just finished dinner and were heading to a movie when his old sedan just died, right between two carts in the lot. He didn't have roadside assistance, and the one tow truck company he called said it would be a long wait. We sat in that car, with the flashers on, making awkward small talk while people loaded their groceries around us. What's the longest you've ever been stuck on a date because of something like this?

Did you ever have that one neighbor who'd trap you in a story about their cat's surgery for forty five minutes? At least a root canal has a clear end point.
