That "romantic" picnic setup... honestly the squirrel probably thought you were setting up a fancy dinner for him. At least you got a story out of it, even if it cost seventy five bucks.

Seventy five bucks for a squirrel's five star meal. My date just watched the whole thing happen and now I'm out a fancy cheese plate. At least the squirrel looked pleased with the service. Next time I'm skipping the charcuterie and just tossing some nuts on a blanket.
