That $60 sushi dinner that I barely touched after she pulled out a binder of 'red flags'

I matched with a girl on Hinge and she wanted to meet at some trendy spot downtown. We sat down, I ordered a $12 roll, then she literally opened her bag and pulled out a three-ring binder with screenshots of my Instagram from 2018. She spent 45 minutes grilling me about a photo of me holding a fish, like it was some kind of criminal evidence. I paid the $60 tab just to escape, and I'm still mad I didn't order a second roll first. Has anyone else dealt with someone bringing actual props to a date?

$60 was a cheap price to learn she was serious about her standards.

Man @the_pat, that $60 hit different when you realize it was really about finding out where you stand. I had a similar deal once where I spent about $80 on a dinner and she ordered the most expensive thing on the menu just to test me. It stings in the moment but honestly it saves you way more trouble down the road. Sometimes you gotta pay a little to see someone's true colors early on.

Honestly I think you guys are reading way too much into it. Maybe she just really likes the lobster and you're turning an $80 dinner into some kind of character test when it's just dinner.
