The guy who bragged about his cooking skills on date one then served me microwaved pasta

So I matched with this dude on Hinge who said his specialty was homemade carbonara. We go to his place for date two and he's talking up this big Italian meal. He pulls out a box of Ronzoni and a jar of Prego, then microwaves the whole thing while telling me about his farm-to-table philosophy. I just sat there nodding while eating pasta that was somehow both cold and mushy. Has anyone else had a date claim they're great at something and then totally bomb it in front of you?

That farm-to-table philosophy must've involved a really long commute to the microwave.

Ugh, that's rough. In my experience, people who talk a big game usually can't back it up.
