Told my date I over-seasoned the pasta and it ruined the whole night
I met this girl Jenna from Tinder and made her my famous carbonara but she said it was too salty and I got defensive. Then I realized she was right, I dumped half a cup of parmesan without tasting it first. Has anyone else had a date call out a cooking mistake and it actually improved your recipes?

Timers saved @abby_black but seasoning saved the rest of us.

My first date's feedback on my burnt garlic bread taught me to actually SET A TIMER now.

Wait, did you actually bring burnt garlic bread on a first date? That takes guts honestly. But hey, at least you learned something useful from it. Timers really are a game changer in the kitchen. I used to burn toast all the time until I finally gave in and started setting one. It's such a simple fix but it makes a huge difference. Your date probably appreciated the honesty about it too.
