Tried to impress with homemade gnocchi, now I miss takeout pizza dates

Last week, I decided to cook gnocchi from scratch for a first date to show off my skills. The dough turned into glue, and we spent the whole night cleaning flour off the ceiling, making me think how dates were more about fun than perfection in the past. Has anyone else had a kitchen disaster that made you appreciate simpler times?

Exactly. Like that time my friends and I tried to make pizza from scratch and flour ended up everywhere. Cheese on the ceiling, sauce splatters on the wall. We still talk about that disaster years later. The perfect pizza we ordered after? Totally forgot it. @terrymorgan is onto something, the messed up stuff makes the best memories.
