Finally got my 7.3 to hit 20 mpg on the highway

I've been chasing fuel economy on my 2001 F-250 for about six months now. Tried a different tuner setting last week on a run from Austin to San Antonio and held steady at 65 mph. Hit 20.1 mpg on the trip computer when I filled up, which is way better than the 15 I was getting before. Guess those injector o-rings I replaced actually made a difference after all. Anyone else seen a jump like that from simple maintenance?

You running a stock turbo on that? My buddy's 7.3 hit 21 once but it was all downhill with a tailwind. I swapped my intake plenums and boots last month on my 2000 and picked up 2 mpg. Never thought simple stuff like that would matter so much.

Yeah those plenum fix kits are worth every penny.
